Various kinds of permits including building permits must be obtained from Marathon County. A building permit is also known as a "zoning permit". The Town does not provide curbside garbage pickup. If you wish to have this service, you must contract with a provider on your own. Please consult the DNR website for burning guidelines here > Open Burning | Wisconsin DNR . The Town of Eau Pleine does not issue burning permits. If you would like to burn something large, please call the Marathon County non-emergency dispatch at 715-261-1200 to inform them. This will prevent you from having to pay for an unnecessary fire call. They may also ask you to call the Town Chairman. If so, his number is 715-897-0503.
